BRENT MEEK Brent is diving for 12 years and teaching for 7 years now. He mainly dives in California. He loves it the most, because of its diversity. Catalina Island has to offer almost everything in one place: deep sandy spots, shallow reefs, kelp forests, sea lions, bat rays and plenty more. He also dived many warm water places such as the Caribbean, Baja Mexico, Hawaii, where he enjoyed the the colorful sea life, but he still loves California the most. His favorite specialty is Wreck Diving in San Diego, where he can dive numerous different wrecks quite close to each-other. |

JEENA PHELPS Divemaster Candidate Jeena is a great addition to the Aqua Adventures team. She loves diving more than anything and have decided to make diving to be her carrier. Last year she went to La Paz, Mexico with a group of divers and enjoyed to dive with friendly sea-lions and whale-sharks. Her next destination is Galapagos island, where she will spend 10 days aboard the Peter Hughes liveaboard.

JOSH LAZIE Josh started diving after watching the Perfect Storm with his son, who said that it would be the coolest thing if he could do the same thing. So, he did. When he became a Divemaster, he moved to Thailand for a while to dive and enjoy the beauty of the country. Now, he is back in California enjoying the Channel Islands. He is in love with sharks and with the Ocean generally. If he could, he would just dive all the time. (Who wouldn't?) |

RICHARD GAYOU PADI Assistant Instructor Captain and owner of the Sea Bass Rich loves anything to do with diving. Put him in a pond and he will have a grin on his face. Since he bought the Sea Bass with Drew, we don't see him anymore. He always seems to fix something on the boat. I have to say that the vessel is beautiful and the diving is always fun with them. PS: Richard is the best "galley girl" |

PETER K WIGGINS Pete, (fondly known as Uncle Pete), has been diving since 1971. He traveled the world in search of the illusive perfect spot. No one, including himself, knows how many dives he really has. We just know it been to many when he waves at fish! He claims his two favorites spots outside of California are Galapagos and the Dutch Island of Saba in the West Indies. He is our resident computer specialist and all occasion bartender. |

MIKE STEWARD Divemaster Mike started diving, because his dream was to join the L.A.P.D. Dive Unit and he did. Now, he gets to play with the coolest toys (he calls it work). He is one of those guys, who bought all his gear before even finishing his training. When he is not diving with the Dive Unit, he spends his time onboard the Magician or the Sea Bass dive mastering. |

EILEEN KENNY Eileen used to love any kind of diving, but she got spoiled rafter her trip to Costa Rica with whale sharks, hammer-heads and such. Check out her pictures on our Cocos site! Her "real job" is a nurse, therefore every time we teach a Dive Emergency Provider Training, she is there and gives great tips for divers to help other divers while waiting for EMS. |

MIKE ROTH Many moons ago, while on vacation in Maui, Mike thumbed through a hotel catalogue looking to take advantage of the water activities the Hawaiian Islands had to offer and stumbled upon scuba. Whoa!! What? SCUBA? Really!?? You can do that for real!! After a bit of contemplation (you know, the kind where you weigh how safe is this really, verses how cool am I gonna be when I tell my buddies back home I did scuba), Mike made the obvious choice and signed on for an introductory dive. Immediately following his first breath of compressed air at depth, he knew he found his calling. After relaying his junior scuba experience to friend and former neighbor Bruce (who is fatefully Greg’s cousin), Mike opted for Bruce’s suggestion, and pursued a scuba certification at Aqua Adventures where he soon found his diving home and root of his diving friends. After three years of diving and completing a handful of certifications, Mike decided its high-time he take the next step to become a DM. Mike enjoys sharing his enthusiasm for scuba with diving veterans, newbie’s, those on the fence, and even those who have zero interest (too bad for them). To Mike diving isn’t a hobby, sport, or activity…..it’s a life style. Wet or dry. So let’s dive, baby!! YEAH!! |

HILAIRE BROSIO Hilaire got into scuba diving in 1991 and has been fortunate enough to dive in Australia, The Galapagos, Papua New Guinea, Wakatobi, Belize, Akumal , Bimini, Cozumel and throughout the great state of California. His terra firma job is a producer/camera operator/editor for television and video. If you saw the Season 2 premiere of “Dexter” then you’ve seen his underwater camera skills at work. It’s a scene where two divers discover all of Dexter’s victims sunken in the ocean (and one of those divers was Greg Tash owner of Aqua Adventures Unlimited!). Hilaire has also shot extensively for The Kelp Project with the Santa Monica Baykeeper and down in Isla Guadalupe with Great White Sharks. He enjoys sunsets, Jimi Hendrix, and long walks on the beach while screaming “Fins Up!” at his fellow divers. |
